The Barrier Reef is the world's largest coral formation, comprising nearly 3,000 reefs, with 400 different kinds of coral. Its waters teem with spectacular marine life. Scuba diving, snorkelling, 4WD trips, horse riding, rainforest walks and crocodile cruises are just some of the activities on offer. If you’re feeling adventurous, embark on a kayaking tour from Cape Tribulation beach, or for the not-so-adventurous, languish by the pool or at the beach.

Rainforest Retreat - Free-standing Rainforest Retreats are true eco-havens, where guests can truly escape in the most exquisite of natural surroundings. Surrounded by lush gardens, each Retreat has been carefully designed to offer privacy and comfort. Perfectly positioned to make the most of picturesque rainforest views. Rooms are comfortable with contemporary cane and timber furniture. Roll-away beds available upon request. Rainforest Retreats are fan cooled.

Daintree Retreat - Every detail has been considered to ensure a unique rainforest experience. In the Daintree Retreats your bathroom (with bath tub) has a private view into the lush rainforest undergrowth, and your room features a daybed surrounded by the soothing sounds of the rainforest. Generously spacious, with polished timber floors and elegant interiors, room appointments are stylish and comfortable. Daintree Retreats also feature exclusive soothing touches such as oil burners, CD players, air conditioning and internet access.

• Children: Children between 3 & 15 years of age, are free in existing bedding and dine free per paying adult at Buffet Restaurants.

• Transfers
• Air: Domestic and international visitors can fly direct to Cairns, where a number of transfer options to Cape Tribulation are available.
• Coach Transfers: Available between Cairns and Cape Tribulation daily. We recommend "Airport Connections" who offer daily transfers to and from Cairns airport, they also provide a similar service from Port Douglas. Other coach transfers are also available between Cairns and Ferntree Rainforest Lodge. Transfer time is approximately three hours each way. Transfers from Cairns require crossing the Daintree River by car ferry. The Daintree Ferry operates between 6am-12midnight only.
• Self Drive: You can also organise to hire a car or drive your own and enjoy the magnificent scenery at your leisure. Once you arrive at the Daintree River the car ferry will take you across to Cape Tribulation. It operates between 6am and midnight every day and costs $20 per return trip for cars.
• Cancellations: Cancellation within 72 hours of booked arrival will incur the cost of 1 night as a Cancellation Fee.
