The dense rainforest reaches all the way down to the coast from rugged mountains rising in the west, with ancient, exotic plant life bordering the waterfalls and clear jungle streams. The rainforest is home to some of the oldest species of ferns in existence, including the renowned Angiopteris, the largest in the world.

Poolside Rooms

Poolside Rooms have a relaxed, resort feel, with an upstairs private balcony overlooking the lagoon-style pool. With a spacious living and sleeping area and ensuite facilities with combined bath and shower, Poolside Rooms feature one king bed or two single beds.

Garden Rooms

Nestled amongst the tropical gardens, these rooms are perfect for families. Comfortable and spacious, our Garden Rooms feature a separate loft bedroom upstairs that sleeps two children comfortably. The lower level features a lounge and veranda deck overlooking the lush gardens. All rooms feature one king and two single beds (quad configurations are also available).

Accommodation Options - Ferntree Rainforest Lodge

• Internet: Dial Up Internet access via the phone line in your room.
• Extra Guests: additional Adults up to maximum indicated cost; less than 3 nights -A$52 per night, 3 nights or more - A$36/night.
• Children between 3 & 15 years of age, are free in existing bedding and dine free per paying adult at Buffet Restaurants.
• Infants are children under 2 years of age. A cot is available for A$0 per night.
• Meals: Full Buffet Breakfast included in room rate (Except Budget Double Room type.
• Parking: Parking is complimentary.
• Transfers: Air: Domestic and international visitors can fly direct to Cairns, where a number of transfer options to Cape Tribulation are available.
• Coach Transfers: Available between Cairns and Cape Tribulation daily. We recommend "Airport Connections" who offer daily transfers to and from Cairns airport, they also provide a similar service from Port Douglas.
• Other coach transfers are also available between Cairns and Ferntree Rainforest Lodge. Transfer time is approximately three hours each way. Transfers from Cairns require crossing the Daintree River by car ferry. The Daintree Ferry operates between 6am-12midnight only.
• Self Drive: You can also organise to hire a car or drive your own and enjoy the magnificent scenery at your leisure. Once you arrive at the Daintree River the car ferry will take you across to Cape Tribulation. It operates between 6am and midnight every day and costs $20 per return trip for cars
• Cancellations: Cancellation within 72 hours of booked arrival will incur the cost of 1 night as a Cancellation Fee.
