Mai Tai offers an exclusive adults only romantic mountain retreat, gay owned and operated and welcoming to everyone. Special occassions such as honeymoons, romantic getaways are our specialty. Well behaved pets are allowed and children over 18 are also welcome. A romantic mountain retreat lush with tropical plants and encircled by magical views across the valley to the Daintree Rainforest, Thornton's Peak and the sparkling coral coast.

Mai Tai is within easy reach to beautifull beaches, fine dining, shopping and all local tours and attractions the region has to offer. Positioned high up in the clouds and nestled amongst the rainforest this exclusive retreat caters for a maximum of only 8 discerning guests at any one time.

Mai Tai consists of four romantic Balinese influenced suites, which have been carefully designed with hand carved furnishings and fittings. Escape to Paradise and discover our hidden treasure, amidst the mountains, with cool sea breeze while relaxing around the saltwater pool.Couples can enjoy one of four beautifully designed Balinese influenced suites:-Superior - Hibiscus or Poppy and Deluxe - Orchid or Lotus

All suites are well appointed ensuring all your comforts are met and have private outdoor sitting areas and Deluxe Suite complete with tropical outdoor Balinese style showers.

In addition to Mai Tai Resort we also offer the Mai Tai Executive Villa which is positioned high above the Mai Tai Resort and is an eco friendly private retreat. Situated high on top of the Mountain with cool breezes and and unbelievable views across lush Tropical Rainforest towards the Coral Coast. Mai Tai offers guests an amazing experience of peace, tranquillity and relaxation without sacrificing any modern comforts.

The Executive Villa has been built to the highest standards and is ideal for 2 Adults, but can accommodate up to 4 Adults (2 couples). The Mai Tai Villa offers two bedrooms both with King size beds, plus a beautifully appointed indoor / outdoor ensuite. This Romantic getaway is fully self catered and provides both indoor and outdoor entertainment areas. The Villa is set high above the Rainforest and designed with a high pitched roof and rap around verandah to maintain a cool internal climate without the use of airconditioning. It also has its own tropical saltwater plunge pool.

The master bedroom consist of one King size bed & bedroom 2 has one King size bed, both with large walk-in-robes. Each bedroom is air-conditioned for your comfort. Wake up to the sound of birds whilst you enjoy a relaxed tropical breakfast overlooking your own private rock plunge pool or simply enjoy a sunset cocktail as the sun sets behind the canopy of Rainforest.
